    [dev1040] Merit Point Adjustments

    Maximum storable merit points increased from 20 to 30.

    Maximum Upgrades by Category
    HP/MP: Increased from 12 to 15
    Attributes: Increased from 8 to 12

    I thought they were gonna make more JA and add 2 hours to the merit system, maybe more info to come I hope.

    They need to do that now, its way to easy to max merits at the moment.

    those new 2 hour merit's aren't until march. lol
    and damn you SE for not making the HP/MP merit's even! Now i can't have an even increase of HP and MP!

    They're thinking of making new 2 hour job ability's we can get through merits. But that's not scheduled till about March.

    well, i don't think it said that it will be in the form of new ability's... it's possible it could be merit's to enhance our current 2 hours... which works too. You need to look up there road map. lol

    Honestly I don't see why we can't just cap out merits on everything, it's not like it would unbalance any aspect of the game. Merit upgrades are kinda cool, but in the grand scheme of things they don't really make or break any job. With the whole abyssea thing going on and everyone having every job leveled it would make sense to allow us to cap out our skills at least so we don't have to feel gimp if we switch to a class like Sam who's weapon is not accessable to any other job, so capping it out would be alot less useful then capping out sword, H2H, or axe skills, which are more universal and thus more essential to most players. But there's no way someone would choose staff/club/gkatana skills over the others unless they only had a single job leveled, which just isn't really the case these days. The point is, it is a new game now and the once essential game changing merit system is now antiquated and needs to evolve as well especially in regards to the skill upgrades, which are just pathetic. I'm with Gennadi, just give us like 50 or delete the max upgrades in the skills catagory altogether.

    Your right there Hak 110%. SE in all their wisdom of the day back in 2003 or so never imagined anyone getting 5-6 jobs at max level. Thats why they never increased max merits for more than that many jobs.

    For me i got 15 jobs at or very close to 95 and its funny i cant max all my magic category merits.

    Wake up SE and get your head out of 2003 and unlock the vault.
    Why did they only increase max merits to 20 from 10 when we can handle 50 in one dom ops session. Its like saying all you can eat but only this much Mad

    Gen you been busy lately in those FC parties in Mis. Coast leveling jobs, now time to skill up and use more merits lol.
